Terms of Service
These terms cover Curfew and the Curfew Pro license. The free app is open source under the MIT license; the terms below add the purchase and licensing details for Pro.
Who you're buying from
Curfew is made and sold by Hypertext Studio. Stripe is our payment processor and handles checkout, payment credentials, and receipts. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
Your license
Depending on the offer shown at checkout, you may buy a lifetime license or subscription. A valid purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the included Curfew features on the supported devices you own or control. A lifetime license does not expire; subscription features remain available while the subscription is active. Signed offline license keys keep working without an account.
What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute your license key.
- Circumvent or tamper with license verification.
- Use the software in violation of applicable law.
The free, open-source portions of Curfew remain governed by their MIT license; nothing here restricts the rights that license grants.
Updates
Your Pro license includes updates to the current major version of Curfew. Future major versions may be offered separately. We may change, add, or retire Pro features over time as the product evolves.
Accounts, recovery, and remote control
A Curfew Account is optional. If you enable encrypted synchronization, you are responsible for saving the Curfew Recovery Key: sign-in backup codes cannot decrypt your data. Authorized remote unlocks are limited in duration but still weaken an active Curfew; review connected apps and revoke access you no longer need.
No warranty
Curfew is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Curfew is a self-control aid, not a security product — it does not guarantee that you cannot bypass it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hypertext Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the software, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
